official release date for computer animated Toy Story 3, a Disney-Pixar movie, is slated for June 18, 2010 in the United States and July 23rd for the UK. The first movie trailer was released May 29, 2009 to get fans all geared up for the coming presentation.
The third installment of this beloved animation will be shown in IMAX 3D and is going to be the very first movie presented in Dolby 7.1 audio in theaters across the country.

Because the third edition will feature a 3D version, Disney Digital 3D went back and recreated the original Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D versions as well - and released those in October of 2009, when fans in theaters first saw a sneak peek at the third edition.
The movie studio has been building anticipation for the third installment by showing sneak peeks during Alice in Wonderland and in the Blu Ray DVD release. They even allowed Steve Jobs to feature an ad in his Apple iPhone event in April for added exposure.
Fans have always loved the additional Pixar storylines before and after the Toy Story movies. The parent and child lamps, the bloopers from the movies - it all adds to the viewer's experience. This time, the movie will showcase Day and Night - the story of what happens when personality Day meets Night and how they interact with one another.
Audiences are eager to see how Lee Unkrich will direct the film. He previously edited and co-directed the other Toy Story movies, so he's familiar with the films and on the official release date, you won't see any noticeable changes.
In this version of the trilogy, Andy turns 17 and heads off to college. He packs his favorite toys away for the attic, wanting to keep Woody, but his mom accidentally throws them away.
The toy characters leap out of the trash bag and hide out in a donation box headed for a daycare center. Woody fails to save them in time and winds up shipped off to Sunnyside Daycare too.
This is when we get to meet all of the new Toy Story 3 characters, including Lotso, a strawberry-scented teddy bear who leads the pack like Woody led the toys in Andy's room. The escapades continue throughout the film as Andy's toys try to make their way back to him out of loyalty and love.
